Aloha Runners,

By now you are far along in your training for next month, we hope some of it has been done with wet feet. We have had an extremely wet winter and one can only guess what race day might be like. Just a few quick reminders and announcements.

The wait list will be maintained up until 1/1/12, after that point the wait list will be shut down and no other runners added to the event. The refund policy stands as stated in the race book. If you are currently not on the ordered wait list you have no opportunity to get into the race. The current wait list is posted below on the Blog.

We have just a handful of banquet tickets left, if you did not purchase one at registration or from John afterwards and would like to do so contact john at john@j-bmarketing.com. For those who have previously purchased tickets but can no longer attend, you can get a full refund if requested prior to 1/1/12 by contacting John.

Bib numbers will be assigned on or about 1/5/12. Check either Ultrasignup.com or this Blog for the list. You are encourage to view the Ultrasignup list for the update entrant list.

We will have live tracking of the event and we will post the link in a later communication.

The race brief will be held at 2 pm, at the Nature Center on 1/13/12. Please be prompt, as it will be a very short meeting. Do not bring your drop bags to the brief.

Print out and read the race booklet. There have been many changes this year.

For the racers out there we will be once again offering a $500.00 cash prize for either a Men's (20:10), or Women's (24:05) course record.

For those of you who complete the HURT 100 we will have plaques available for purchase at the finish line, engraved while you wait by Joel Jenkins our Medical Coordinator. The cost of the plaque will be @ $25-30, payable in cash only.

If you would like to participate in the trail marking on 1/13/12 please contact me at jhuff@hawaii.rr.com. We will have several teams out marking the course so the legs will be @ 4-6 miles at most.

Best of luck to you all in the final weeks of training.

Aloha,

Jeff
