Good news!
John Medinger, the president for WS100, just informed us that the 2017 HURT 100 has been selected as a qualifying race for the 2018 Western States 100. Runners who complete the race in 36 hours or less will qualify to enter a lottery where the field for Western States will be selected.
The qualifying period for the 2018 Western States will be from November 7, 2016 through November 5, 2017. The lottery will be held on December 2, 2017 and the race itself will be run on June 23, 2018.
