Aloha!
First and foremost I wish everybody a happy holiday season with family and friends.
If you have been training on the HURT course, you may have noticed within the last couple of weeks that there have been downed trees and areas which need attention before the race. Therefore I’m hoping that some of you runners and volunteers are willing to help improve the trail in as best and safe running condition as possible.
We will do a general clearing of debris, trees, land slides (if any) and checking the safety conditions of the trail on Saturday, December 28, at 7am. Meet at concrete road on top of Tantalus. I welcome anyone who is willing to help. The more volunteers we have the more we will get accomplished. Click on the button below for more information.
Please bring enough water and snacks to last you 6-7 hours. Wear proper footwear, pants, shirts, and eye protection! If you have a favorite tool for outdoor activity please bring it, i.e. hand saw, lopers, pruners.
I will provide sandwiches and sodas at the end, back at our cars.
If we are not able to finish trail work, a follow-up event for January 5 will be scheduled.
Note: Going out on your own without proper permit from appropriate government authorities is not allowed. Click on the button below to signup and receive the latest information.
